District Assembly
June 12 + 13, 2026
The annual District Assembly is a gathering of pastors, delegates, and church leaders from across the district to worship together, celebrate what God has done, conduct church business, and look ahead to the mission and ministry of the year ahead within the Church of the Nazarene.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Worship services will be held on June 12 at 7:00 p.m. for the Missions Service and June 13 at 2:30 p.m. for the Celebration Service.
District Assembly will be live streamed (link below) and we are providing live translation in Cantonese, French and Spanish (link below).

NDI is hosting a dinner for pastors, delegates, and guests on June 13 at 12:30 p.m. in the Rosewood Fellowship Hall.
Tickets are $25 per person, and a catered meal will be provided.
Dr. Filimão M. Chambo
Presiding General Superintendent
Dr. Filimão M. Chambo was elected general superintendent in the Church of the Nazarene in 2017 after serving as Africa Region director, where he oversaw church planting and ministry development across Africa.
Born in Mozambique to pastor parents, Chambo sensed God’s call to ministry at 17. He studied theology in Mozambique and South Africa, earned advanced degrees in Biblical Studies, and was ordained as an elder in 2000.
Before becoming a general superintendent, he served as a pastor, seminary educator, seminary president, and education coordinator for the Africa Region. Filimão and his wife, Samantha, an ordained elder, have two children.

This year’s District Assembly is hosted at Rosewood Church of the Nazarene in Scarborough, conveniently located just minutes from Highway 401 with plentiful free on-site parking available for guests.
For those travelling in, nearby hotel options include Holiday Inn Express Toronto East - Scarborough by IHG and Best Western Plus Executive Inn, both a short drive from the church.
There are also many restaurants nearby, including Kelseys Original Roadhouse, Scaddabush Italian Kitchen & Bar Scarborough, Markham Station Diner, Manek Chowk - Indian Street Food, and Caribbean Wave. Boston Pizza is also located nearby for casual dining and group gatherings.
Rosewood’s location makes it easy to access accommodations, restaurants, shopping, and major routes throughout the GTA.
